Given the continuing trend to reduce the weight of next generation of cars, it is necessary to constantly adapt and reduce the size of engine and its components to find a good trade-off between engine size, vehicle performance, fuel consumption and costs. The objectives of this topic are to identify solutions, develop new concepts on the air circuit and test them.
